Cold Finished Octagonal Steel - Cold Drawn

Cold Finished Octagonal Steel – Cold Drawn

Cold Finished Octagonal, Cold Drawn Steel (CDS) and Cold Roll Steel(CRS) Octagonal Bar is a steel product with closer dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and smoother surface finish than hot rolled bar. Cold finished steel Octagonal tend to have higher tensile and yield strength, tighter size tolerances, and improved smoothness when compared to hot finished steel.

These standard shapes can be produced as bar or wire in a wide variety of steel grades including: Carbon Steel, Alloy Steel, Tool Steel, High Speed Steel and Stainless Steel. In addition, these standard shapes can be supplied in custom sizes with special tolerances, finishes and mechanical properties. Precision Kidd can surface improve many of these products to provide elevated surface qualities, such as: “Seam Free” and “Decarb Free,” as well as NDT tested for surface discontinuities.

TYPICAL OPERATIONS AND APPLICATIONS USING COLD FINISHED BARS
